This is messy and needs to be fixed. Both our Sophos and Cisco AMP flag this infected and unwanted!

3 out of 69 detect a PUA (potentially unwanted application) with our installer. It does contain an offer screen for a third party offer screen which has a 100% optional offer. If a vendor decides to classify this behavior as potentially unwanted, it is their decision. If they then don't clearly name the detection and just throw in "Trojan" into it when there clearly isn't any, they are preventing their users from installing perfectly safe software.

Hi,
from PDFCreator 3.2.1 on, if your machine is part of a domain, silent installation is only available for PDFCreator Business, PDFCreator Terminal Server and PDFCreator Custom.

Hi Anthony,

if I remember correctly the cause was the pdfcmon.dll (our print monitor) not getting replaced during the update.
Which version does your pdfcmon.dll have in %Windir%\system32? It should be 0.9.7, if it isn't, then please uninstall, check if the pdfcmon.dll is deleted and install again afterwards. It seems there are some situation in which the setup can't halt the spooling subsystem in order to replace the file.

Cannot install with silent parameter

Hi,
I tried to install PDF Creator silently using the parameter.

First of all, I created my settings.inf files with parameter /saveinf.
But, when I tried to install it on anothers computers, nothing happen.
I can see with process explorer that the process start and close, nothing more.

Here the command line I use:
\pa-itdata\Outils-info\Logiciels\pdf_creator\PDFCreator_v3.2.2.exe /loadinf=\pa-itdata\Outils-
info\Logiciels\pdf_creator\settings.inf /forceinstall /norestart /verysilent

Error 29101 printing password protected PDF

I'm seeing this error when converting to PDF from Adobe Reader DC:

An error occurred: You have printed a password-protected PDF file and Ghostscript is not able to convert such files (29101).

However, converting the same PDF from SumatraPDF I am able to save the file correctly.
The PDF in question is NOT password protected.

What is the cause of this problem?

--- No se revisaron los permisos de lanzamiento.. No se ha podido establecer la conexion con el servicio de windows para verirficar " PDF ARCHITECT 6 - MDI-APP" los datos de la aplicacion. No se puede leer la clave del Registro. ---

PDFCreator Server - Error when trying to change Tiff Settings in the Queue

Guys,
Need your help. :frowning: I am getting a "System.NullReferenceException" error when trying to adjust the TIFF settings under the Queue Advanced Settings. It will let me change it, save it, but then the last prompt where I need to agree to restart the service for the service to take effect, I get the error and the setting will not stick.
I am using version 1.2.0 Build 30158. Just purchased it. :frowning:

Purchased PDF Architect 6 Pro - Features are NOT included

On 4/4/18, under "Dennis Ashendorf," we upgraded to PDF Architect 6 Pro Perpetual License. We keep Architect 6 Pro current. However, when I want to use features like "EDIT," an upgrade page is launched to make me pay again. NOT HAPPY. Please authorize features so that I can edit documents and export them as Microsoft Word documents.

Why lie to people I just bought the 6 version of pdf architect and it says yearly and I had to sign into my account and it verified that on top none of my modules are activated I have a screen shot to prove what I am saying and am going to my bank to have them cancel my card at the earliest time I can I sent a request for a complete refund of my money and got my email from you all saying my case number has been received don't deceive people you all have a great product but you let America greed destroy that product so long for perpetual licenses.

Hi, I'm trying to make a table in the pdf to list items but can't find a way to do it.

Is there a way to make borders on squares or draw in lines.

Sorry for the trouble, but why accuse me of lying? The information in the thread is simply outdated, PDF Architect 6 was released after my last response on this thread... You can cancel the subscription by contacting the PDF Architect support, if you purchased within the last 30 days. Of course, all functions should be available after logging into the account you used for the purchase, if they aren't available instantly, please try if logging out and back in again once.

PDF Architect 6 has a subscription model, but it is also possible to purchase a perpetual edition, as the website states very clearly: https://www.pdfforge.org/pdfarchitect/personal

Hi,

sorry for the trouble.
We would never block any of the features you paid for, it must be an unexpected technical issue.
Did you let PDF Architect 6 uninstall all previous PDF Architect versions during the installation?
Otherwise one of the older versions might still be your default application for opening PDFs and your license will only activate all features in PDF Architect 6. Did you receive a new license key when you purchased the update and did you enter it into PDF Architect 6 (or login into your account, if you are using an account)? I can only point out some general issues, if this doesn't help please contact the PDF Architect support:

Hi,

it seems to be related to an issue with the dropbox settings, have you checked those to ensure they are valid?
Of course, it still shouldn't throw an exception but rather display a warning if it finds invalid settings.
We will look into this as soon as possible.
